WARRANTIES
Design Origins Performance Warranty
Design Origins extends the following limited warranties on products produced with its advanced Chromojet patterning technology which are properly installed and maintained in compliance with techniques and recommendations provided by Design Origins.
Pattern Match Warranty
Design Origins warrants acceptable pattern match for products installed by the stretched-over-cushion method. Because patterned carpet is an extensible textile, pattern match on direct glue-down installations is not warranted.
Ten-Year Non-Prorated Loss Of Pattern Warranty
Design Origins warrants against loss of pattern due to wear from abrasion for ten (10) years from date of original purchase.
10-Year Non-Prorated Wear Warranty
Design Origins warrants products against excessive wear for ten (10) years from date of original purchase. Wear is the abrasive loss in excess of ten percent of the face fiber the carpet. This warranty does not cover product installed on stairs, nosings, ramps, or risers.
2-Year Non-Prorated Wear Warranty
Design Origins warrants products against latent manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials that would cause a failure in performance for a period of two (2) years from date of original purchase.
These warranties do not cover damage, deterioration, or appearance changes due to tears, cuts, burns, stains, environmental or ultraviolet fading, inadequate or improper maintenance, and abuse, of inherent characteristics of carpet such as multiple dye lots, textural variations, optical side matching, roll marks, shedding, matting, crushing, shading, watermarking or pooling, sprouting, and tuft loss.
If dissatisfied with the characteristics warranted above, the owner must notify Design Origins and permit the installation to be independently tested. If the carpet is found to be deficient, within the terms and conditions of these warranties, Design Origins, at its sole discretion, will correct, repair, or replace the original carpet in the affected area(s), free of charge, including installation. Design Origins will not be responsible for costs incurred for furniture, equipment, or fixture removal, nor any other costs associated with clearing or reordering of the affected area(s) in conjunction with these warranties.The obligation of Design Origins under these warranties is limited solely to the correction or replacement of defective product and excludes responsibility for consequential or incidental damages. These limited warranties are offered in lieu of all other warranties, implied or expressed, including without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or fitness of products for any particular purposes.
