Carpet and Flooring LEED Certifications

LEED Certification

Shaw Hospitality Group tufted and CYP products utilizing Eco Solution Q solution dyed nylon, and Shaw Hospitality Group hardwoods contribute to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System through the use of recycled content, adherence to stringent indoor air quality standards and innovation in design through Cradle to Cradle certification. Additionally, carpet contributes to LEED through a construction and waste management program credit.

Developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED promotes a whole building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environment quality. LEED is a framework for building owners and operators to identify and implement practical and quantifiable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
