ADHESIVES
Shaw 1000
1000 Superior Grade Carpet Adhesive is a fast tacking, solvent free ultra premium adhesive for installing both direct glue down and double glue down commercial carpets. This adhesive has been specially designed to provide quick grab with fast wet suction and holding power for bonding even with the most difficult to install carpet backings.
Application:
Floors must be sound, clean, dry and free of dirt, wax, dressings, grease, laitance, sand, gypsum dust, loose paint or any other foreign matter that would interfere with a good bond. For best results, the room, carpet and adhesive should be maintained at 65 degrees F or above for 24 hours before, during and after installation. Spread adhesive evenly using the recommended trowel notches for carpet backing types: ActionBac and Unitary Back use 1/8x1/16x1/8 v-notch; JuteBack, Urethane and Hot Melt Back 3/32x3/32x3/32 v-notch. For Carpet to Duratech Plus Cushion use 1/8x1/16x1/8 u-notch. Use the tacky method of installation. When the adhesive is tacky, lay carpet into adhesive and roll with roller (except for DuraTech Plus use a carpet core to smooth out). Restrict heavy traffic for 24 hours.

Warranty
This adhesive is manufactured according to exacting quality standards and warranted to be free from manufacturing defects. Defective material called to our attention within one year from manufacture will be replaced. No guarantee, expressed or implied is made regarding the performance of this product since the manner and conditions of application are beyond our control.
Shaw 4000
Description: Shaw Subset 4000 Carpet Seam Sealer is recommended for jute and action back carpets with light to moderate traffic, except vinyl backed and for sealing cut edges of carpet to prevent raveling.
Application:
Prepare carpet according to manufacturer’s instructions. Apply a bead of sealer along the carpet primary backing with an adhesive applicator bottle. Apply adhesive to only one side of carpet. Complete the seam by butting both sections of the carpet together while the adhesive is still wet (within 5-10 minutes). Smears of sealer on the carpet surface are easily cleaned within 10 minutes by rubbing with a clean cloth wet with soapy water.

Protect from Freezing
Caution
Use with sufficient ventilation. Prevent prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors or mist. This product contains low levels of ammonia which is not classified as an organic compound. Eye irritation and dizziness are indications of overexposure. Vapors, while low in toxicity, are capable of causing fainting.

Shaw Industries, Inc.’s only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any adhesive proved defective. Beyond the purchase price of materials supplied by us, we assume no liability for direct, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product for particular purpose or intended use shall be solely up to the user.
